Biography

Dr. Mohammad Nashir Uddin is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with extensive expertise in burn management, microsurgery, and trauma care. With over two decades of professional experience, he has served as a trainer and educator, contributing to the development of medical skills through affiliations with institutions such as Dhaka Medical College & Hospital, BCPS, and Interburns.
Dr. Uddin has conducted and presented innovative research on topics like burn injuries, scrotal reconstruction, and microsurgery at national and international forums, including ISBI Congress and ISAPS events. His published articles focus on advanced surgical techniques, burn care, and reconstructive methods.


A dedicated educator, he has led training workshops in Bangladesh and abroad, including Australia, India, and Singapore. Dr. Uddin’s commitment to excellence is reflected in his leadership roles in surgical care, research, and teaching, making significant contributions to healthcare advancements in Bangladesh and beyond.

Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinate DSMB meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation of minutes.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, study protocols, and DSMB charter.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the DSMB, investigators, and study sponsors.
    • Manage the collection, organization, and secure distribution of study-related data to the DSMB.
    • Facilitate unbiased safety reviews, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of trial data.
    • Monitor adherence to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines throughout the study.
    • Prepare and submit DSMB recommendations to the sponsor and Institutional Review Board (IRB).
    • Maintain accurate records of DSMB activities for audits or inspections.
