Biography

Dr. Dina Layla Hossain is a highly qualified medical professional specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She holds an MBBS from Dhaka Medical College (2006) and has attained advanced certifications, including FCPS in Feto-Maternal Medicine (2022) and Gynae & Obs (2016), along with an MCPS in the same field (2015) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons.

With extensive experience in government healthcare, she joined through the 30th BCS in 2012 and currently serves as a Junior Consultant at the Department of Obs & Gynae, Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Dr. Hossain completed her foundational training at BIAM and passed the departmental examination in 2013. Her career began in 2010 with an initial posting at a union health center in Chandpur. Known for her commitment and expertise, she continues to play a significant role in advancing maternal health care services in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks or adverse events and recommend corrective actions.
• Decision-Making: Provide recommendations on trial continuation, modification, or termination based on safety and efficacy data.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and study protocols.
• Unbiased Review: Maintain independence to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure impartial decision-making.
• Report Analysis: Assess interim and final reports for accuracy and relevance.
• Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive trial data and protect the privacy of participants.
• Advisory Role: Offer guidance to the sponsor and investigators on trial conduct and potential improvements.
